Terms of service
Last updated 14 September 2026 · Astra Digital Pty Ltd (“Astra”, “we”) and the organisation that subscribes (“you”).
1. The service
Mero Build is web-based software for managing residential building projects: estimating, tendering, contracts, variations, progress claims, invoicing, site delivery and a client portal. We provide it on a subscription basis to your organisation and its authorised users.
2. Accounts and users
You are responsible for the people you invite, for keeping credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information entered. Client (owner) users receive access only to the portal for projects you publish to them. You must not share a single login between people.
3. Plans, fees and GST
Fees are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. Monthly plans are billed in advance each month; yearly plans are billed in advance each year at the annual total displayed when you subscribe. Plans differ by their included features and concurrent project limits. You may change plan at any time; changes take effect from the next billing period. Fees are non-refundable except as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Your data
You own the data you and your users enter, including client information and documents. You grant us a licence to host, process and back it up in order to provide the service. You are responsible for having the right to enter your clients' personal information and for complying with privacy law in your dealings with them. You can export estimates as spreadsheets and documents as PDF at any time.
5. Documents are tools, not advice
Tenders, contract variations, consolidated variation statements, progress claim certificates and invoices generated by the service are produced from the data you enter. They are not legal, financial or building-contract advice. You remain responsible for your building contract, your obligations under home building legislation and the accuracy of every document you issue.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malicious content or attempt to access other organisations' data. We may suspend access that threatens the security or integrity of the service.
7. Availability and support
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. Support is provided by email during Sydney business hours.
8. Self-hosted option
Where you run Mero Build on infrastructure you control, you are responsible for that infrastructure, its security and its backups; we provide the software, updates and support under a separate schedule.
9. Intellectual property
The software, its design and documentation remain the property of Astra. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for your business while subscribed.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Termination
You may cancel at any time; monthly plans end at the close of the billing month. We may terminate for material breach on notice. On termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which it is deleted in line with our privacy policy.
12. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the application at least 30 days before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
